The Complete Collection
Collection of Jeremy Clarkson documentaries.
Jeremy Clarkson takes driving lessons to new and uncharted heights. You'll learn how to stay in control when going sideways with smoke pouring off the tyres. How to stop faster than you ever thought possible. How to get in the G-zone twhile you're cornering. To demonstrate Jeremy uses the Lamborghini Murcielago, the new TVR Tuscan R, the Mitsubishi Evoll, the Bentley Arnage and many more.
2003 has been the best year for new cars ever. But I’m not interested in reliability, fuel consumption or even cup holders. This is all about finding the car of the year that put the biggest smile on my face.....It’s all about excitement... So I put the Bentley Continental GT head to head against the Rolls Royce Phantom in a heavy metal drag race. I pitch the Mitsubishi Evo VIII against its old enemy the Subaru Imprezza Sti. I choose the best road car you can use on a track and the contenders are the Lotus Elise, the Vauxhall VX220 Turbo and the new TVR350C. There's a supercar showdown between the Pagani Zonda and the Koenigsegg. And I throw down the gauntlet to the Lamborghini Gallardo, the Aston Martin DB7 GT, the Porsche GT3 and many, many more. I also found time to put a new spin on the art of caravan towing - flipping one on to its roof and hooking it up to a super fast Overfinch Range Rover. In fact, I had so much fun...I’m still smiling now. I'm sure you will too.
I trawl the whole of cardom to bring you seven great cars and truffle the undergrowth looking for seven automotive disasters. The good ones - the Ferraris, the Porches and the Aston Martins are driven to within an inch of their lives on the track. Some are even handed over to the Stig who makes a guest appearance. The bad ones are killed. Sawn in half. Hung, drawn and quartered. They're hammered and blown to pieces with dynamite and their skeletons left in the open to rot. I even find time for a game of car jousting. It's Heaven then, and Hell.
This year Jezza takes the cream of Europes super-cars to the USA to pit them against America's finest, with highlights including a race up a mountain between a Cadillac Escalade, a Hummer H2 and a Range Rover, and a straight head-to-head race between a BMW Z4M and a Dodge Viper SRT 10. Along the way he also fills an old Jag and an old Buick with water, blows up a Harley-Davidson, has a Toyota Prius shot to pieces and outruns John Q. Law in an Ariel Atom...
For Jeremy Clarkson's new DVD he has traveled the Planet - from Spain via Strasbourg to Swindon - for the Supercar Showdown to beat them all. His aim is simple - find the ultimate Supercar. Jeremy starts a fight between the Ferrari 430 and Lamborghini Gallardo. The Gallardo's big cousin, the Murcielago, weighs in too. The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano struts its stuff and Audi's R8 faces up to the Porsche GT3 as special guest, Nurburgring-know-all Sabine Schmitz takes on The Stig. Jeremy also turns into a Formula 1 hero thanks to a Radical SR3. And has a fantastic time in the Aston Martin Vantage V8 Roadster. Plus there's a new kid on the block in the shape of the stunning Ascari A10. And the line-up would not be complete without the 1000 horsepower, 252 miles per hour Bugatti Veyron. Meanwhile, everything else explodes as Jeremy finds out if there is such a thing as "Too much" turbo power, a Renault Alpine A610 comes to the end of the road.
Welcome to my all new DVD Thriller, which, as the name suggests, is all about thrills at the wheel. Aston Martin’s gentleman thug, the DBS, takes on its rivals from Italy. The lightweight Lamborghini Superleggera battles it out on the track with Ferrari’s 430 Scuderia and my test of the best takes me to the breathtaking roads of the Swiss Alps, the no limits German autobahn – and, er, Norfolk.
Welcome to my new DVD, Duel - it's all about challenges and some big questions. Which car makes the most smoke while going sideways - a Lamborghini Murcielago SuperVeloce or a Vauxhall VXR8 Bathurst S? What is best at drifting - the Jaguar XKR, the Lotus Evora, Audi's R8 V10 or BMW's M3? To find out, I globe-trot from sun-drenched Spain to Silverstone via Oxfordshire and Swindon.
It’s The Italian Job so obviously, I head to Kent in England for the race of a lifetime. But first I have to get ready. So, it’s the Fiorano test track in Italy where I spend a while not getting ready at all. I try the gym but it’s all rubbish so instead, I decide to compare Ferrari’s 458 Italia and the limited edition 599 GTO. On paper, that doesn’t seem fair. But in reality….
I’m in the South of France. My base? The high-tech testing ground for Formula One Circuit Paul Ricard. My mission? To find find my favourite car of the year. There's a pair of Ferraris, the V12, 6.3 litre FF and the 458. There’s the UK challenger to the 458, McLaren’s MP4-12C. The latest gizmo-laden Nissan GTR, Porsche's GT2 RS, the 570-horsepower Lamborghini Performante and the fun BMW 1M. Helping me are The Stig and Formula One new boy, Karun Chandhok. I look into the future, in the shape of the hybrid-engined Mugen Honda CR-Z, And there are blasts from the past as well. The beautiful Eagle Speedster a modern twist on the iconic, timeless E-Type, with its 4.7 litre engine and an eye-watering £500,000 price tag. And there's the all new Jensen Interceptor R with its 6.2 litre Corvette motor. The mighty Brutus, a vintage car fitted with a flame-spitting BMW airplane engine. Also the single-seater, B.A.C. Mono - capable of 0-60 in 2.8 seconds. What more could you want?...
